I have just completed a round road-trip if from Sydney to Melbourne and back to Sydney over the Christmas Holiday period. It made me realise that many travel and tourism operators are still NOT mobile-optimised. I also noticed this in the USA a few months ago. It drives me crazy.
Imagine what it is doing to your customers. Google will now penalise your website if it is not mobile-friendly. So this means, if your competitor is mobile-friendly and you are not, your competitor will be presented before you, no matter how fancy your site is on a desktop.
Many hotels, restaurants, and cafes missed out on my business over the last couple of weeks purely because of this. It was just too hard and I was just too impatient. Like many of your customers, I got really annoyed if a website was not mobile-friendly, so I went to one that was. It also meant I discovered some really cool places I had never been to before.
So, for the doubters, unawares, too busy, or lazy we have put together a few stats on mobile to help get you on the way to being mobile optimised.
